LENT
Journey with us through Lent
Lent is a season devoted to the awareness of our sin and the practice of turning our hearts toward Christ in humble repentance. The season of Lent invites you to slow down and set aside time to focus on Jesus’ own ministry. It is marked by fasting, prayer, and reflection on our need for Christ’s atoning sacrifice and culminates on Easter when we celebrate the hope of the resurrection life that comes through Jesus!
Take time to draw near to God and join in prayer. We will start and end the Lent season with a church-wide day of prayer and fasting on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday. We invite you to select an additional day to fast and pray.
WEDNESDAYS IN LENT
On Ash Wednesday our church will be open from 12-8PM. We will have a series of stations for reflection and an offering of prayer and the imposition of ashes.
Our sanctuary will be open every Wednesday in Lent from 12-1PM for Midday Prayer. Please come join us for quiet contemplation. This will be held on Wednesdays from 2/25-3/25.
We are also beginning a Wednesday Worship service that starts at 6PM with a potluck meal and the Lord's Supper and flows into a worship service that focuses on cultivating deeper intimacy with God including digging into the Word, listening prayer, and worship. This will be held on Wednesdays from 2/25-3/25.
We invite you to join in a day of fasting and prayer for Good Friday. Download the prayer guide here. Join us at 6:30PM for a service recounting the steps of Christ toward his darkest moments, in love.
