Jesus is Better: The Gospel According to Hebrews
Jesus is Better: The Gospel According to Hebrews
No book in the Bible draws a clearer picture of what Jesus actually came to do, in fulfilling the law, than Hebrews. Here we get to bathe in the wonder of the God-man as He reveals the Father to us…as He reveals true humanity to us…and as He shows us what it means to have a true High Priest interceding for us. Jesus is better, because everything points to Him and is fulfilled in Him. That’s why it is a wonder of wonders that He would then turn around and give all that He is, to us.

Ruth & the Advent of Hope
Ruth & the Advent of Hope
The story of Ruth gives us a powerful picture into the spatial nature of hope in the Bible. True hope is found where God lives! This is why, only after returning to the land of Yahweh, are Ruth & Naomi blessed with new life through their Kinsman Redeemer, Boaz. And it’s also why we are going to see a very clear connection between the book of Ruth and the reality of Christmas. For, what makes Christmas so amazing, is that through the life of Jesus, God chooses to make us His new home!

The Gospel According to Joseph: Finding Purpose and Joy in Our Suffering
The Gospel According to Joseph: Finding Purpose and Joy in Our Suffering
The problem of pain is a real issue for Christians in 21st C America. For we live in a culture that preaches a strong polemic against suffering – we are to avoid it like the plague and order our lives in the complete opposite direction. The problem, however, is we never can. And it’s for this reason that we all need to take a good long look at the life of Joseph, and how, our God paints a very different picture of the purpose and honest joy we can find even in the midst of our suffering.

Alpha to Omega: The Whole Story of the Gospel
Alpha to Omega: The Whole Story of the Gospel
In this series, we are following the pattern of our grandmother church (Redeemer NYC), by looking at the first four books of Genesis, the four of Romans & then the last four of Revelation, in order to get a better understanding of the big picture…Why God made us, what went wrong, and how God, through Jesus, is at work to address what is fundamentally broken in our world. Our hope is to better believe and see God at work in history, and today, fixing what only He can fix, and inviting us to live in the overflow of His accomplishments for us. In short, we want to get a bird’s eye view of power of grace, and why the good news of Jesus Christ really is good, for us, today.
