Jesus said that He came to give us “life to the fullest.” (John 10:10). For many of us, that has not been our experience of “God” or “religion”. Our dream is to actually experience what Jesus said He came to bring, and to share that life (every aspect of it) with others. The term that God has used to describe that “full” life all throughout Scripture is “shalom”, or “peace,” and that is why our Vision Statement is:
To know Christ, and share His gospel peace with Nanuet, Rockland County, and the world.
Could you imagine life in Rockland,where interpersonal conflict no longer divided neighbors and families?
Could you imagine life in Rockland, where literally everyone took it personally to care for the poor?
Could you imagine life in Rockland, where loneliness and depression where replaced with community and joy?
Could you imagine life in Rockland, where people of differing life views and choices actually felt loved and cared for by Christians?
We can. We are. And we are praying that God will use us, even in spite of our weaknesses and failures, to see our Rockland know real peace.
