Get Started

We provide a safe place for you to process,  as we help you navigate through life's challenges and transitions.

The First Step

When life seems overwhelming, even taking that first action toward recovery can feel like an uphill climb. You may be unsure of the exact nature of your struggle. You may not know how to name it. We can help identify the issues you face and recommend a path of healing. We've summarized the procedure here to help you get on your way.

Contact RCS

The first thing you'll do is call or email the Service Coordinator at Redeemer Counseling. If you are local to Rockland County, you may want to let them know that you'd like to meet with Ellen Lee or Lorraine Schaefers at All Souls Community Church. The coordinator will set you up with login information for an intake form that you can complete online. After completing the form, it usually takes about a week to arrange your first appointment.

How much does it cost?

There is a set fee of $175 for each 50-minute session of individual, couples or family counseling. There is a sliding scale fee structure based on income. Many will qualify for a reduced rate.

While RCS doesn't accept health insurance directly, your policy may offer some out-of-network benefits for mental health. Your coordinator will provide the documents you need to submit for potential reimbursement, as well as help to guide the conversation with your insurance company so you can receive maximum benefit.

For further details on the counseling process, you can visit the Redeemer Counseling website.

The goal in counseling is to guide you towards emotional and spiritual wholeness.
